Environmental Defense Fund, Director of Climate Resilient Water Systems

Christina Babbitt manages the California Groundwater Program at Environmental Defense Fund where she is working to advance water trading policy in California and scale replicable groundwater sustainability pilot projects across California’s Central Valley. In these efforts, Christina works to build partnerships among NGOs, agencies, water districts, and agricultural partners, and contributes technical expertise on water governance structure and design. Christina holds a PhD in natural resources from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, an MSc in environmental science from Florida International University, and a BA in international relations from Rollins College.
