2024 Annual Summit

We are excited to host the 2024 Annual Summit this fall back at Evergreen Lodge, CA. The Annual Summit will include retreat elements, workshop opportunities, identifying collaborative connections with other network members, and celebrating the new 501(c)3, the Watershed Solutions Network. Meet up with your fellow network members in a relaxing environment to build relationships and generate opportunities to collaborate with one another.

Dates: October 28th-30th, 2024

Minimum Threshold: 25 Participants

Registration Cost: $550 per person

Our Board of Directors and Advisory Council will meet for a retreat to build relationships and discuss WSN’s accomplishments and future program opportunities. The retreat is free of costs and open to anyone in the network who would like to participate.

WSN Celebration Party

Come celebrate Watershed Solutions Network’s official spin-off. Join us at Lester Snow’s home for an afternoon celebrating the official launch of the Watershed Solutions Network as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization! Bring your friends and family as we toast to new beginnings and our commitment to the resilience of California’s watersheds and communities.

Celebration Party Date: Thursday, September 26th from 3pm-6pm

Location: Fair Oaks/ Sacramento Area (Exact address will be sent to those who RSVP for the event)

WSN Klamath River Trip

WSN Klamath River Trip

One of our most highly anticipated events this summer will be a trip to the Klamath Region and Watershed to celebrate and learn about the dam removals and meet our Klamath region members from Cohort 3. The Klamath River Trip will unfold in segments, allowing participants to join or depart the trip at various points. Our journey, hosted by WSN members and friends, will start at the mouth of the river guided by Sammy Gensaw (Cohort 3) and traverse the watershed with stops along the Scott River guided by Charnna Gilmore (Cohort 3), the Upper Klamath Basin guided by Ben DuVal (Cohort 3),  and conclude at the headwaters of the Klamath Watershed. Join Cohort 3 and others from the Region for this exciting trip from the mouth to the headwaters of the Klamath River!

Klamath River Trip Dates: Sunday, September 8th to Saturday, September 14th

Minimum Threshold: 10 Participants

Registration Costs: $150 to $500 depending on how many days attending

Bull Creek Natural Resource Training

Building from the Forest Gathering in May, Tribal leaders, the property owners, and leaders in the land and water sector will gather at the Kowana Valley Lodge to learn from the Tribe and the property owners about the collaboration and partnership that is being built, to generate ideas for the future of the Kowana Valley Lodge and to craft how this example can inform work around the State. Participants will learn about resource management from a systems perspective, homesteading, and building equitable partnerships.

Training Dates: TBD based on Participants Availability in August

Training Facilitators : William “Bill” Leonard (Souther Sierra Miwuk Nation Tribal Elder), Debbie and Mark Franco (Watershed Solutions Network) and Edmund Hung (Kowana Valley Lodge)
